1. What JobNepal is
JobNepal is a short-video blue-collar job matching app for Nepal.
- Candidates record a short video CV, about 30 seconds, showing one skill.
- Employers browse a video feed, search, save favourites, shortlist, and pay to unlock a candidate’s contact details.
- There are two roles in one app: candidate and employer. The admin panel is separate and is not part of this app.
JobNepal is a matching platform. We are not your employer, agent, or broker. We do not guarantee you a job, a hire, or any income.
2. Acceptance and eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old, or of legal working age in Nepal, to use this app on your own. If you are under that age, do not use the app.
- You must provide true and complete information.
- One person or one company uses one account. Do not share passwords. Do not create fake accounts.
- By registering, signing in, uploading, browsing, or paying, you accept these Terms.
- If you do not agree, do not use the app. Delete the app and contact us to close your account.
3. Accounts, phones, and passwords
- You sign up with a mobile phone number and a password.
- You must prove you own that phone number through our verification steps.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secret and your phone safe.
- If you think someone else is using your account, change your password at once and email us.
- Signing out on one device uses session control. The “logout from all devices” action invalidates every token for that account.
- We may suspend or close accounts that are false, duplicated, abused, or used for fraud.
4. Profile completion gate
Some actions are blocked until your profile is complete. This is enforced by the server, not just the app screen.
- Candidates must set gender, age, district and local level before adding skills or uploading video. Until then, skill and video actions return a “profile incomplete” error.
- Employers must set a contact person, district and local level before full use.
- District and local level must be a valid, matching pair from our location lists: 77 districts and 753 local levels. Both fields are mandatory.
5. Candidate rules
- One job equals one skill equals one current video.
- A video may cover 1 to 5 skills.
- Show your own real work. Do not impersonate another person. Do not upload someone else’s video.
- Any material edit to a skill, its CV text, tags, experience entries, or its video sends that skill back to “pending approval” and removes you from employer search until re-approved. We show this warning before you save an edit.
- Keep your phone number and contact details accurate. You will only be contacted by verified employers after a lawful unlock (see Section 9).
6. Employer rules and verification tiers
- Employers must provide a true company profile, a real contact person, and a valid district and local level.
- Employers are manually reviewed. Pending or rejected employers get public access only.
- While unverified, shortlist, payments, hires, and chat return an “employer not verified” error. The app shows this pending state honestly. Do not try to bypass it.
- Employers may only hire for real, lawful roles. No fake jobs, no trafficking, no bonded labour, no fee-charging to candidates, no discrimination in violation of Nepal law.
- Employers must not copy, scrape, record, or resell candidate videos, photos, or personal data.
7. Video uploads: where they are stored and what is forbidden
Please read this section carefully before you record.
- Uploaded videos are stored on Cloudflare R2 object storage. Upload works in three steps: request an upload URL, upload the raw MP4 file, then confirm completion.
- Because storage is on Cloudflare R2, your video is also subject to Cloudflare’s compliance and abuse rules in addition to ours.
- Playback is authenticated and supports seeking. Thumbnails may be served publicly so employers can browse. Your face and work in the video and thumbnail will be visible to employers and reviewers. Do not upload anything you want to keep fully private.
- Every video revision needs fresh admin approval before it appears in employer search or feed.
The following content is strictly forbidden in videos, thumbnails, profile photos, text, tags, and chat:
- Nudity, sexual content, obscenity, or sexually suggestive conduct of any kind.
- Sexual exploitation or abuse of children. Zero tolerance. We report child sexual abuse material to the competent authorities as required by law.
- Violence, threats, animal cruelty, self-harm instructions, or gore.
- Hate speech, caste or ethnic abuse, harassment, bullying, or degrading language.
- Fraud, impersonation, fake credentials, misleading job claims, or deceptive editing.
- Anything illegal under the laws of Nepal, including weapons, drugs, gambling promotion where unlawful, and trafficking.
- Contact details inside the video or thumbnail intended to bypass our unlock and chat controls, such as spoken or written phone numbers, QR codes, or handles.
Permanent ban: uploading nudity, sexual content, child exploitation material, or other serious abuse leads to a permanent ban of the account and the device where permitted by law, without refund of any fees. We may also delete the content, block re-registration, and report to law enforcement where required.
If you see abusive content, email legal@kiranrajdhakal.com.np with the video or profile identifier, date, and a description.
8. Approval, search visibility, and feed
- A new or edited skill or video stays in “pending approval” until a human admin approves it.
- While pending or rejected, you do not appear in employer search or feed for that skill.
- Employer feed order and claimed pages are served by the backend. The app reports feed impressions back to the server for serving integrity. Replaying the same page returns the same claimed page.
- Approval is about platform suitability. It is not a certificate of skill, character, or legal eligibility to work.
9. Contact sharing: the core trust promise
- Candidate phone numbers and email addresses are masked by default. Search, feed, favourites, and shortlist never show them.
- A candidate’s contact details appear only on a shortlist item that has been unlocked through an admin-approved payment.
- We only share your contact number with a company after we manually verify that the company exists and is hiring for a genuine role. No bulk sale. No directory. No cold-call lists.
- We do not share your personal details with any other third parties for marketing, brokerage, or unrelated purposes. Your data stays between you and the JobNepal Board, except for the limited, consented employer unlock described above, our storage provider for delivery (Cloudflare R2), and disclosures required by law.
- Do not try to exchange contacts early through video, chat, or profile text. Chat automatically blocks phone numbers, emails, links, social handles, and off-platform app names at send time. Blocked messages are not stored and not delivered. The draft stays with you and the rejection is shown inline.
10. Payments, hires, and cashback
- Employers pay per unlocked contact and per applicable service exactly as priced in the app. All payments need admin approval where the app states so.
- Unlock fees are for access to contact details for recruitment. They do not buy ownership of the candidate’s data and do not guarantee a hire.
- Hire records and candidate cashback, where shown, are informational loyalty records. They are not wages and are subject to approval and to these Terms.
- Fees are non-refundable once an unlock or service is delivered, except where Nepal law requires a refund or where we state otherwise in writing.
11. Chat rules
- Chat is for recruitment conversation only, between the matched candidate and the verified employer.
- Chat blocks contact-info exchange at send time as described in Section 9. Do not try to evade the filter with spaces, words, images, or voice tricks. Evasion is a violation and can lead to suspension or permanent ban.
- No harassment, no threats, no sexual messages, no hate, no spam, no job offers that break Nepal law.
- We may retain chat metadata and, where lawful and necessary for safety, message content for abuse review.
12. What data we collect
We collect only what is needed to run job matching, safety review, and the app itself. Specifically:
- Account data: role (candidate or employer), mobile phone number, password verifier (we store a secure hash, not your plain password), login and session records, account status.
- Candidate profile data: name or display name, gender, age, district and local level, skills, CV text, tags, work experience entries, languages where provided, profile completeness state, approval state.
- Employer profile data: company or business name, contact person name, phone, district and local level, business details you provide, verification state and tier.
- Video and image data: uploaded MP4 files, video metadata (length, size, skill links), generated thumbnails, approval history. Thumbnails are public for browsing; videos play only over authenticated requests.
- Matching and transaction data: search queries, feed requests and impression events with impression identifiers, favourites, shortlist entries, unlock and payment records, hire records, cashback records.
- Messages: chat conversations and send-time moderation results. Messages rejected for contact-info sharing are not stored.
- Support data: messages you send to support or to our legal email, and our replies.
- Device and technical data: app version, device model and operating system version where needed for compatibility, push-notification token where you allow notifications, coarse error and crash logs. We do not collect continuous background location. Location in your profile is the district and local level you select, not GPS tracking.
We do not knowingly collect bank passwords, citizenship numbers beyond what is strictly needed for verification where explicitly requested, or biometric templates. Do not send such sensitive data in chat or video.
13. How we use your data
- To create and maintain accounts, verify phones, and keep sessions signed in.
- To show candidate videos and skills to employers for recruitment, after approval.
- To mask contacts by default and to unlock them only after verification and approved payment.
- To manually verify employers, review videos and skills, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce bans.
- To operate shortlist, favourites, search, feed, chat, payments, hires, and cashback.
- To provide support, send service notices, and respond to legal, takedown, and privacy requests.
- To keep the service secure, measure feed integrity through impression events, fix crashes, and improve the app.
We do not use your personal data for third-party advertising. We do not sell your personal data.
14. How we store and protect data
- Videos are stored on Cloudflare R2 as stated in Section 7 and are subject to Cloudflare’s security and compliance controls plus our own access controls.
- Other app data is stored on our backend infrastructure serving the JobNepal API.
- Playback of videos requires a valid sign-in token and supports range requests for streaming. Thumbnails are public by design so employers can browse.
- We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards, including authenticated APIs, role checks, server-side masking, and human review for unlocks and approvals.
- No system is perfectly secure. You share videos and profile data knowing that approved employers and reviewers will see them.
15. What we share and what we never share
- Shared with a hiring company, only after checks: your phone number and permitted contact details, and only on an unlocked shortlist item after manual company verification and an approved payment.
- Shared for delivery: content is delivered through our backend and Cloudflare R2 storage. These providers process data only to deliver the service and under their own compliance duties.
- Shared for law and safety: where required by Nepal law, court order, or to prevent serious harm, fraud, trafficking, or child exploitation, we may disclose necessary records to competent authorities.
- Never shared: we do not sell personal data. We do not share candidate contacts with advertisers, brokers, lenders, or unrelated third parties. Everything else stays between you and the JobNepal Board.
16. Retention and deletion
- We keep account, profile, video, transaction, and safety records for as long as your account is active and as long as needed for the purposes in Section 13, plus a reasonable period for fraud prevention, disputes, tax and accounting, and legal compliance.
- Banned-account and serious-abuse records, including hashes or identifiers needed to prevent re-registration, may be kept longer where permitted by law.
- You may request correction or deletion by emailing legal@kiranrajdhakal.com.np from your registered phone’s email or by providing proof you own the account. We will confirm what can be deleted at once and what must be kept by law or for safety. Backups may retain copies for a limited time.
- Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account. You must request closure.
17. Your rights
- Ask what personal data we hold about you.
- Ask for correction of wrong or incomplete data.
- Ask for deletion or closure, subject to Section 16 limits.
- Object to misuse or report another user’s misuse.
- Withdraw optional consents such as push notifications at any time in device settings. Core matching cannot run without core profile and video data while your account is active.
To exercise any right, email legal@kiranrajdhakal.com.np. We reply to genuine requests within a reasonable time and may ask for proof of account ownership.
18. Children
- This app is for adults of working age. It is not directed at children.
- Do not upload videos of children, and do not use children’s data.
- Child sexual exploitation material leads to permanent ban and reporting to authorities as required by law.
19. Prohibited conduct
- No nudity, sexual content, obscenity, or exploitation as detailed in Section 7.
- No fake profiles, fake companies, fake jobs, or impersonation.
- No scraping, bulk download, or republication of videos or personal data.
- No attempt to see masked contacts early, to evade chat filters, or to move hiring off-platform to avoid verification and payment.
- No charging candidates unlawful fees for jobs.
- No harassment, threats, discrimination, trafficking, or forced labour in any form.
- No uploading malware, no reverse-engineering abuse, no attack on the API, and no interference with feed impression reporting.
20. Termination and permanent ban
- We may warn, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that break these Terms, break the law, upload forbidden content, evade filters, or endanger others.
- Serious content cases in Section 7 result in permanent ban without refund.
- You may close your account at any time by emailing legal@kiranrajdhakal.com.np. Paid unlocks already delivered are not refunded on closure.
- After ban or closure, you must not create a new account to evade enforcement.
21. No guarantee and disclaimer
- We provide the platform “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or bias-free service.
- We do not promise that a candidate will get hired or that an employer will find a hire.
- Employers and candidates must make their own checks — interviews, references, trial work, written terms — before hiring or accepting work. Agree pay, hours, and duties in writing before work starts.
- Approval or verification on JobNepal is platform screening only. It is not a government licence, police clearance, or guarantee of character or skill.
22. Limitation of liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by Nepal law, the JobNepal Board is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of income, work, or data arising from use of the app, reliance on profiles or videos, or conduct of other users.
- Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the app is limited to the amount you actually paid to us for the service giving rise to the claim in the 6 months before the event, or NPR 5,000, whichever is lower.
- Nothing in this document limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or wilful misconduct where such limitation is not permitted by law.
23. Changes to these Terms
- We may update this document when the app, the law, or our storage and verification practices change.
- We will post the new version with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be announced in the app or by notice where reasonable.
- Continued use after the update means you accept the new version. If you disagree, stop using the app and request closure.
24. Governing law and disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal.
- Please contact us first at legal@kiranrajdhakal.com.np so we can try to resolve any dispute informally.
- If informal resolution fails, competent courts in Nepal have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer or labour protections that apply to you.
25. Legal notices, takedowns, and how to sue or contact us
- All legal correspondence must go to: legal@kiranrajdhakal.com.np. This includes legal notices, claims, takedown requests, privacy requests, law-enforcement requests, and pre-suit correspondence.
- Include your full name, registered phone number, role (candidate or employer), the exact profile, video, or message identifier, dates, and a clear description with evidence.
- Takedown and abuse reports are reviewed by a human. Forbidden content is removed and, for serious cases, the account is permanently banned as stated in Sections 7 and 20.
- Nothing in this app waives your right to seek competent legal advice or to approach a competent authority or court. This section only tells you where to send notices to us first.
26. Language and readability
- This English version controls. If we provide a Nepali translation for convenience and there is a conflict, the English version prevails except where Nepal law requires otherwise.
- We have kept sentences short and headings clear so screen readers, text browsers, and translation tools can read this page without scripts, styles, or images.
